Hello Hag
Menopause Workshops & Classes
Meet Allyson Rainer, teacher & founder
I have Masters degrees in Creative Writing and Social Work as well as years of study and certifications in energy healing and yoga. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in private practice and have been working with women at various stages of menopause for well over 15 years. I bring all my interests to these workshops: Jungian study, somatic therapy, nervous system regulation therapy, energy therapy and mindfulness/meditation.

The workshops are geared to provide healing and grounding to help the wise sage you are flourish.

In my Hello Hag Menopause classes, we'll use writing prompts to tell your menopause story. We'll also incorporate writing to explore past trauma and what ageing means for you. Included are body centered practices such as yoga poses or other somatic therapies to help you navigate the physical aspects of menopause. In addition, you'll learn energy healing methods for calming your mind and moving toward more balance and connection. The goal is to help you explore your own psyche and find what resonates deeply within you.
I believe that with the right tools and support, menopause doesn't have to be an isolating, confusing experience. The most healing part of the menopause class is the chance to talk about your experience with other women who have either gone through the transition or are exactly where you are in this journey. It's a sacred and empowering experience to be able to help each other and have the space to talk and grow together.

Hello,
You Wise, Resilient, Funny, Valuable Hag!
Why Hag? Since the 13th century, this word was a derogatory term aimed at elder women who were more likely to trust their own intuition, had wisdom in the healing arts or lived alone without the protection of family members. Nowadays, the word is rarely used, but the feeling of shame and fear about ourselves and getting older still exists. Our world does not provide a path to age wisely and with integrity. When we reclaim words like hag, we send the message that we are reclaiming the respect and dignity of being an Elder.
You are not alone.
For some women, menopause can be a breeze, but if that's not your reality, you've come to the right place. Whether you are at the beginning of this new phase of life, in the midst or already through it, I want to help you find the support you need to move with intention into your next phase of life.
